This Week’s Quote …

“I am irritated by my own writing. I am like a violinist whose ear is true, but whose fingers refuse to reproduce precisely the sound he hears within.”

— Gustave Flaubert

The highly influential French novelist Gustave Flaubert was born 12 December 1821 and passed away 8 May 1880. He is known especially for his debut novel Madame Bovary, published in 1857.

I can relate to Gustave’s sentiment!
