Annie Dillard is an American author born April 30, 1945. She is best known for her narrative prose in both fiction and non-fiction, and has published works of poetry, essays, prose, and literary criticism, as well as two novels and one memoir. Annie Dillard won a Pulitzer Price for her 1975 work Pilgrim at Tinker Creek for General Non-Fiction. From 1980, she taught for 21 years in the English department of Wesleyan University, in Connecticut.
