What type of crime was committed? It would have to be a bad one, don’t you think?

What type of crime was committed? It would have to be a bad one, don’t you think?
Perhaps her mind was twisted into thinking she caused the crime to happen. For instance: a child witnesses a crime, is influenced by the family member who committed crime in front of her and is so mentally traumatized that she cannot see herself as innocent.
