This is a post I found that I thought could be helpful for writers with writing goals. It is written by Lynn Dickinson and was published in September 2018. Lynn shares her tips to help writers to honestly examine their writing routines to make the necessary changes so that writers can achieve their goals.
“As an assignment, I asked my students to take a close look at their own thoughts and behavior patterns around writing or not writing.
“Every morning I tell myself I’m going to write something today, but then different things come up and I just don’t do it. Morning turns into afternoon, which turns into evening, and I keep thinking I’m going to write something—just later on. Then about 7:30 I tell myself I’m too tired or busy or whatever.
